¾ cup hot water
2 (1-ounce / 28-g) packages instant grits
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ to 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese or jalapeño Jack cheese
- Set the temperature of the air fryer oven to 400ºF (204ºC). Press Start to begin
- In a baking pan, combine the water, grits, egg, butter, garlic, and red pepper
flakes. Stir until well combined. Stir in the shredded cheese.
- Place the pan in the air fryer oven and air fry for 12 minutes, or until the grits
have cooked through and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
